From Machine Vision to ImmersiveDisplay

The price of high-resolution cameras and image sensors has fallen dramatically. High-resolution display will become more popular. It is expected that by 2020, video will exceed 80% of Internet traffic. This is creating new applications: Increased intelligence through high-performance image/video processing and highly integrated analysis. Video/vision applications are now available in a variety of markets, including consumer, broadcast, automotive, military, communications infrastructure, and cloud computing.

Machine vision for detection systems and robots, 8K displays and transmissions, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and access to driverless cars, surveillance systems and drones. All of these solutions require the use of programmable hardware for high-performance processing and image encoding, and are often tightly coupled with the use of software to analyze recognized objects, any-to-any connectivity to sensors, machines, and clouds. 

Based on Xilinx-based programmable devices, we provides a flexible, standards-based solution that combines software programmability with high-performance image processing and analyzes any-to-any connections. And functions such as confidentiality and security are tightly integrated to meet the needs of video/visual systems.

The Zynq® MPSoC supports dedicated HEVC, GPU, and “arbitrary” video connections.  We provides Zynq MPSoC-based video/visual development platforms and software-defined development environments including SDSoC and Vivado® HLS to help customers rapidly develop smarter and interconnected differentiated applications.
